Rhino cartoon @Moomin. Since I put you in my ignore list, I just realise you post that. Btw you have your case but my opinion has now changed because Mr. Garbutt has given this to my beloved club and I am not happy. Will this be good enough now Rhino? I don't care as long as Everton receive compensation.

Bryan, Gosling had his moment while playing for this club. I hope Garbutt follows his career path because I think he is unfaithful to those who train and give him the chance. He can learn from the first choice England LB, stop moaning and wait for two years before getting this LB spot via fighting out with Oviedo but now he chooses to walk away. Fuming that is...
 
Ings bid for £12m accepted from Spurs.

This should hopefully up the tribunal for Garbutt should it go that way; use it as a benchmark in some factors.
 
But if he is successful at Spurs, cue more Jim Bowen Bullseye taunting of the RS with "this is what you could have won".

It's the modern world.

People join companies that train them up and then leave shortly after for a better paying job all the time. They also know that if it doesn't suit the company to keep them they'll be shown the door.

Football is no different. If Garbutt leaves I won't blame him. I just hope we offer him something appropriate because staying with us and going on loan for a year would probably be better for his career given the age of Baines and contract situtation of Ovideo. If Oviedo leaves in the summer he might even be 2nd choice here next year and look at this year. How many games has Baines missed?

Going to a struggling team might not show of his best qualities which are attacking not defending.
 
Gosling was crocked when he left us as was Rodwell so its hard to make comparisons over Garbutt as he looks fighting fit - good luck to him he wanted football; so let the tribunal set the fee we should have sorted this out last year, RM had the opportunity on the performances he shown to play Baines wide left with SP and Oviedo and KM all injured off and on if he had more game time he may have stayed -so be it!
Lets get it right he has walked away from us god knows why we can not fight to keep an under 21 English international from the age of 16 trained on the books it may be the RM way - another left back from Wigan perhaps with dodgy knees or over 30??????
We have too many old players on long contracts in the squad on salaries that are kept secret!
Its human nature to look at them and see that the deal on the table is wrong for you !
 
12 for Ings is insane, to be paying that Tottenham must be expecting the tribunal fee to be really high, I'd be quite content if we got half that for Garbutt.

The last left back we got from Wigan turned out pretty good.
