It's actually sad how for the young quality at the club like Lukaku and Barkley, how they are being so massively mid managed this season. Complete turn around from last year.

he may need some coaching on ball skills or headers but he has repeatedly been played out of position with little support. Because of the system being played little is generated in the way of chances for him, to me he needs someone alongside to play off but we are not doing that. I do not think he is at all suited to a lone striker role. Give him a break.

It's not my opinion.

If he gets the service he will score goals, I don't think anyone can doubt that.

We do seem to have a trend of our strikers having one good season and then we don't see another...

So disappointed with his performances this year , but he has been injured and the team has played rubbish around him. I have to say if everton are going to get back to last years performances we need to get Rom firing because he is probably the 1 player that can pull us out of this rut.( not counting mirallas because he will be gone in a week or 2)

I think his goal ratio will level off after a few more years as a starter in a top division.

Lukaku is built on immense physical attributes.

He won't be able to bully past defenders forever and martinez knows this...

You guys got shafted by chelsea and the money spent on lukaku should of went to another cm and cb

Honestly, eto is a better cf than lukaku is right now.

WHY?

Lukaku is what he is. A young lad that was bullying defenders with immense physical attributes. After a few years and injuries, than what? What happens when he loses that edge?

People look too much into age.

Walcott was like 16 when he started at arsenal and has he really improved since than?

For a person his size, he doesnt use his body well and really lack mental toughness.
