If that's the case then fine. But if he decides a loan is the best for him...then do it I sayWe buy someone else cos Rom wouldn't want to come back on a loan, if he did want to come back he would want it to be permanent.

Didn't Martinez say something along the lines of it is better to have a truly class player for one year on loan than not have him at all? There's no point loaning Lukaku, we either buy him or we don't.
Would he have that issue if he wants to come to Everton anyway? If he has a big season and the team don't, he will get a move to a CL club anyway and not be stuck in a mid range side. Sounds a good option for him no?Didn't Martinez say something along the lines of it is better to have a truly class player for one year on loan than not have him at all?
A loan with an option to buy would suit me just fine, means we would have a specific fee agreed, and don't have to pay it for 12 months. Worked quite well for Arteta and Pienaar.
But I don't think Lukaku would want to go out on loan again, so it's probably a moot point.
I can see the benefits for him as you suggest, but I'm sure I read that he said he doesn't want to go out on loan againWould he ave that issue if he wants to come to Everton anyway? Then if he chooses a non CL side like Everton, he has to be prepared to not play in the CL for a few years unless his form warrants a CL side coming in for him.I can see the benefits for him as you suggest, but I'm sure I read that he said he doesn't want to go out on loan again
Could be about Release clause now. A kind of CL failure get out clause if a CL team suddenly wants him.
Just want this wrapped up ASAP, he clearly loves this club , bonds well with the players.
We would have been in the CL if Rom himself wasn't dross for about 4 months!
That would be the only reason to accept him on loan surelyI'd be disappointed with a loan. Unless we spent a load on another big name striker to play alongside him!![]()
We would've been midtable if Rom wasn't boss for all the other months. We would have been in the CL if Rom himself wasn't dross for about 4 months!
