Lakaku is only 20 and has lots of parts of his game he needs to improve on. I think one of the major problems we'v had with him is that like unlike Ross when he's not been suited to a game or having a bit of dip and Roberto has been able to pull him out or start on the bench... Rom has pretty much been our only fit striker and has had to start games regardless. It's been a big blow kone being injured this season. Probably more of a blow than we will ever realise.

Its weird because when he's not scoring he contributes NOTHING to the team, he's more a hinderance than a help. Whilst his goalscoring record is brilliant, he simply cant do the basics properly, and thats massively frustrating.

We all know on his day he's one of the best strikers in the world but when he's not having one of those days he useless, he can't hold a ball up, he the worst header of a ball in the league(strikers only). He is best when he running at defences but his ball control can be awful. Granted he's only 20 and we've lacked a 2nd striker but I can imagine next year he be even better. When was the last time we had a striker who scored 13 goals? If anyone to blame it's the midfield for their lack of goals not Lukaku

See the he's only young/resale value used as a pro for buying him. I'd rather buy a player in his prime at 25/26 as they'd both walk for free in 4 years.

I can see why you think that, but we saw when he's out injured that isn't really the case, he occupies the oppo, and even an off form Lukaku is better than none at all, given our options, as others have said he's only 20 and weve leaned on him heavily in that department all season
