Why are you questioning the guy who has been an exemplary employee for 4 years against a guy who causes trouble everywhere he’s been?

I agree that in his first season at Everton he was very good and I think a firm favourite with the fans but since then he has been very inconsistent and had more poor games than good ones. If the fee we get for him pays for the two young full backs then I’d suggest that is a good bit of business, and I know I’m just repeating what many fans have said.

Surely the issue is we have had managers who consistently fail to get a tune out of good players? Selling Digne is going to bite us in the crotch, I guarantee it. One of the best fullbacks in the league when on form.

Don’t think Newcastle are in a position to sell anyone when they are having to postpone games because they haven’t got 13 first team players available.

Longstaff got given a chance against United because they had no alternatives and now he has had a good game they think he could at least help them with their relegation battle. If Newcastle stay up that is worth hundreds of millions for them. Losing longstaff for free in the summer instead of making a quick mil or two is not really that signficant for them. Can understand why they are reluctant to sell.

I'm really not sure. He's that deluded he maybe thought the Gwladys would boo him as he warmed up.

Or maybe totally the opposite. Maybe he was giving the crowd the opportunity to show the player a final appreciation. There is no way Digne was going to play in case he got injured and ruined chances of being sold

But I know that one of the two parties involved has caused conflict wherever they have been.

When he's on form is the issue there, if we can get close to £30m for a soon to be 29 year old full back who hasnt been 'on form' for the past 18mths, its the kind of deal we should be doing.

He didnt make the grade at either psg or barca, and tbh Everton revived his career when it was stagnating.
His level isnt at the very top, what he wouldve been sold when coming here was a club trying to break into top 6, thats his level.
