I've no issue with them lot getting a champions league place personally, their squad is way too small and rubbish to be able to balance Europe as well as 3 domestic competitions, can only benefit our chances of getting into top 4 next year.

It's just about worth it despite the prospect of seeing BT sport foaming at the mouth at the 'European nights at Anfield' nonsense.

Boro are minging. There's no way the RS won't beat them convincingly.

I'm not arsed about them being in the CL. They'll hardly threaten the Real Madrids of this world and will be lucky to get out their group, which they didn't last time they were in it.

Does that mean you wouldn't be arsed about us being in the Champs League? It'd just be good to be in it, the money it brings to the Club, increasing our commercial revenues, the prestige of Champions League nights games against the very best. How can you say you're not bothered?
I remember not wanting Spurs to become part of the "new top 4" as it would just give them the means to increase their superiority and just give us another hurdle to overcome In addition to the traditional top teams, another one was born, making it even harder for us.
It's a building process, and it makes the building processs easier and quicker with the financial rewards. Even if the did get knocked out in the groups (let's hope it's the qualifiers), they'd have the rewards and be in a bettter position to add to what they do this summer and be stronger the following year. Baby step and all that. Isn't that what people want us to do?

I've got to say that I always want The Mighty Blues to win, no matter what the consequences of that win may be.
I hate the Rs with a passion but my love for The Blues is infinitely greater than the hatred of them.
A win at Arsenal would be a great end to a great season for us. Shame about the lack of a decent cup run but we've been amazing at Goodison.
Roll on 2017-2018.

It involves the RS dropping points this weekend or next weekend, but we could be going into the Arsenal game with 4th place still a race between them and the RS.

I know it's petty and no doubt even mentioning it will spark numerous people to cry about not being a real fan...but worth asking.

We had a similar situation a few years back with our game vs Man City whilst the RS were in the hunt for the title and the forum seemed kinda split.

Stakes are different here, we have no chance of reaching a higher position this season (vs the albeit slim possibly of 4th last time), and likewise they are only fighting for 4th, not 1st.

So over to you, would you be happy to see our neighbours lose out on the CL by sacrificing an end of season defeat, or is it a matter of principle and pride to always want a win?

No cheese on toast option. Grow some balls.

We've never won there and that has to change. Couldn't care less what it means for other teams.

Win win for us always don't even give the RS a second thought .COYB let's at least put some effort in for our last away day.

Only way Boro get anything at Anfield is if them lot are super complacent and get a player sent off, as well as hitting the post about 6 times. They'll have to be incredibly jammy essentially, and you don't get that at the pit.

Ill be following both games, if liverpool are drawing or go down a goal then ill be 100% hoping for Arsenal to win (by 3 goals incase liverpool draw, thats enough for arsenal to beat them to CL).

Can you imagine Liverpool lose/draw but we beat Arsenal

Can you imagine the stick they'll give us? Never ever hear the end of it. so yes I'd gladly want to lose to arsenal!

It's really pathetic to see some so called fans wanting us to lose if it means them lot don't get CL. Like really?

Who the [Poor language removed] cares? They won't get anywhere in it and it means we will be taken more seriously by our rivals and the media should we get a result.

Liverpool will also beat Middlesbrough so it won't matter anyway.

Also for all the fans including myself who pay good money to go and watch I hope we put in the performance of a lifetime and get a shock win.

Stop caring about them lot and maybe they will start taking us more seriously. It's only making us look small time.

It's time to overcome our 'Big Club' away hoodoo and the time is NOW. Wake up.

Rant over.
