Thanks to everyone who's PM'd me, seems like you need 50 posts to reply to the PMs so I'll just post the questions here shortly.

I came home with some work to do tonight but I just know that once these questions are posted there is going to be some responses that are going to make me cry with laughter. I'm going to have a quick shower and then make myself a nice cup of tea. Genuinely looking forward to this.

On another note, it might be an idea for one of the mods to change the date of the match on the GOT homepage from saturday to sunday as we're doing ourselves no favours unless of course we're playing them on saturday and sunday.

Sorry about the delay just having my dinner (pickled herring caught from the local fjord, naturally).

Nobody could claim to be unimpressed by Everton's start to the season, and you've had some great performances from a large number of your players, some from new faces and some from more familiar names. Which Everton player has impressed you most so far this season, and who should Liverpool fans be the most wary of?

The Blues are certainly blessed with greater squad depth than they've been used to in recent seasons. However, are there any Liverpool players you would take in the Everton starting XI?

With Everton having forgone their usual catastrophic start to the season, and already in the Champions League places, can you keep this up and 'break the top 4'? How do you feel about the current setup at the club, in terms of boardroom and manager, being right to keep the club progressing?

Recent news regarding the Hillsborough disaster has brought a heart-warming response from across the vast majority of the English football league and beyond. However, not surprisingly, Everton were a cut above the rest and I'm sure it goes without saying that all Liverpool fans would take any opportunity to thank the Blues for their gestures over the past month. The question is, with these genuine examples of Scouse solidarity, are we poised to see a return to "the friendly derby"?

Moving back to the game itself, in recent encounters between the sides, especially last season, Everton have gone into the games with more optimism than usual, and have perhaps even been considered favourites, as they may well be this week. Unfortunately for the Blues, the result has usually gone in Liverpool's favour even on these occasions. David Moyes has a pretty drab record in the Merseyside derby and some Blues I have spoken to believe he has a bit of a complex when it comes to games against Liverpool, where team selection and tactical decisions often take a negative and sometimes curious turn. Is this something you're aware of, and what side do you think Moyes will go with this weekend?

For a bit of nostalgia, what's your favourite Derby memory, and for our readers if you don't mind, your worst?

Finally, how do you see the game going? A scorecast prediction please!

Which Everton player has impressed you most so far this season, and who should Liverpool fans be the most wary of?
Kevin Merillas

The Blues are certainly blessed with greater squad depth than they've been used to in recent seasons. However, are there any Liverpool players you would take in the Everton starting XI?
I think your wrong, we have little quality squad depth which is why we have signed Hitzlsperger. As for any Liverpool players - Moyes has never solved the right back position so I would have Glen Johnson. I wouldnt say no to Steven Gerrard and Luiz Suarez, and im sure on old form Pepe Reina is better than Howard, although he hasnt shown it for a while

With Everton having forgone their usual catastrophic start to the season, and already in the Champions League places, can you keep this up and 'break the top 4'?
No
How do you feel about the current setup at the club, in terms of boardroom and manager, being right to keep the club progressing?
We are not progressing, the debt is only being serviced, Kenwright continues to lie, the club has no direction. The current board are happy to float on by, the team continues to be funded of sales

It would be nice

Moyes will be his negative self as he always is against the bigger clubs. Phil Neville to start and Jelavic to become increasingly isolated if we get the lead. Its the David Moyes way.

For a bit of nostalgia, what's your favourite Derby memory, and for our readers if you don't mind, your worst?
Danny Cadamteri skinning Kvarme and scoring. Danny Cadamateri!
The worst was last year when Moyes played our reserves when Liverpool where there for the taking.

Finally, how do you see the game going? A scorecast prediction please
Everton to win 4-1 and Hibbert to finally score

Well in pal.

Nobody could claim to be unimpressed by Everton's start to the season, and you've had some great performances from a large number of your players, some from new faces and some from more familiar names. Which Everton player has impressed you most so far this season, and who should Liverpool fans be the most wary of?

Baines has been most impressive for me so far, he's one of the top fullbacks in world football right now.

You should be most wary of Jelavic. He's had a relatively slow start to the season by last year's standard but he's like dog sh*t in and around the penalty box. You don't know he's there until the damage is done.

The Blues are certainly blessed with greater squad depth than they've been used to in recent seasons. However, are there any Liverpool players you would take in the Everton starting XI?

The Welsh Xavi, Joe Allen. Although we know he's not quite as good as he's talked up to be, he's still a tidy midfielder and certainly better than our current options. Also, Agger. He's one of the top central defenders in the country and would be fantastic alongside Jagielka. I like the look of Shelvey too, in a footballing sense as he's obviously a bit odd looking. He could be some player for you in the next few years.

With Everton having forgone their usual catastrophic start to the season, and already in the Champions League places, can you keep this up and 'break the top 4'? How do you feel about the current setup at the club, in terms of boardroom and manager, being right to keep the club progressing?

We could. We won't though as the squad depth isn't there and to be finishing top four, you need to snotting teams like Wigan and QPR. Obviously, the board setup is abysmal and before we can think long term about moving on to the next level, it needs changing.

There'll always be knobheads on both sides who would prevent this. Personally, as a Scottish blue with no real connection to the events of Hillsborough, I still had a tear in my eye watching the tribute before the Newcastle game. Maybe there'll be a wee bit less venom at this one than in the past, here's hoping.

Moving back to the game itself, in recent encounters between the sides, especially last season, Everton have gone into the games with more optimism than usual, and have perhaps even been considered favourites, as they may well be this week. Is this something you're aware of, and what side do you think Moyes will go with this weekend?

Definitely. You wait and see on Sunday. Three times last season it was obvious you were there for the taking and although the first game was ruined by Rodwell's ridiculous red card, we sh*t out big time in the other two. Wembley was a huge disappointment to see Everton trying to hold on after half time instead of going for the kill.

For a bit of nostalgia, what's your favourite Derby memory, and for our readers if you don't mind, your worst?

Favourite would be the AJ derby, and Pepe the Clown dropping the ball on Andy's glorious shiny head.

Worst would be the McAllister free kick or the Wembley debacle last year.

Finally, how do you see the game going? A scorecast prediction please!

2-1 Everton.

There you go fella.

Which Everton player has impressed you most so far this season, and who should Liverpool fans be the most wary of?

Probably Baines and Fellaini have been the stand out players so far. I think Mirallas will be a decent player for us and could have a big impact on Sunday.

The Blues are certainly blessed with greater squad depth than they've been used to in recent seasons. However, are there any Liverpool players you would take in the Everton starting XI?

The fact that he's an utter tit aside, any normal football fan would always have Gerrard in their side. His legs may be going but give him the ball and he can still ping ridiculous passes and carry a team by himself. Suarez is a great player too and would have him for footballing reasons. Unfortunatly this is hypothetical, as in reality I wouldnt want either anywhere near an Everton shirt no matter how good they are.

With Everton having forgone their usual catastrophic start to the season, and already in the Champions League places, can you keep this up and 'break the top 4'? How do you feel about the current setup at the club, in terms of boardroom and manager, being right to keep the club progressing?

No. I think top 6 is a realistic but still difficult goal.
It's well known we need investment so a change is needed, although Im one of the fans that thinks Bill is trying his best.

Everton fans as a whole have always backed Liverpool. Always. Over the years there's been accusations from the abundance of fans you have who literally know nothing about the history between the two clubs that we have sung songs about Hillsboro and been disrespectful. Let me clear that up, the song in question is NOTHING to do with Hillsboro. Hillsboro was about 96 human lives lost, not football. Hopefully the tribute we payed the other week will go far as to calm things between the two clubs. Although, if Im honest, you have so many fans who know nothing, southerners for example, who Im sure will try and kick off. I'd like to think the friendly derby could return, but due to this I dont think it will. Trying as best I can to take a neutral stance on it, but in my eyes the ones to blame are in Red not Blue. But when it comes to Hillsboro, we stand united.

Very much so. I dont think its just Moyes. The team as a whole have a thing about Liverpool. Im convinced its a mental block.

Think the team will be Howard; Neville Jags Distin Baines; Anichebe Gibson Osman Fellaini Mirallas; Jelavic

For a bit of nostalgia, what's your favourite Derby memory, and for our readers if you don't mind, your worst?

Favourite: Johnson 3 0. Worst: Clattenburg derby for obvious reasons.

Finally, how do you see the game going? A scorecast prediction please

Everton 1 Liverpool 2 with the ref to have another howler.

Afternoon guys,

Firstly, apologies to your moderators if I've come into the wrong part of the site to post this, I come in peace!

I'm here representing a fairly new Liverpool fan site, The Liverpool Word . We'd like to run a feature ahead of Sunday's derby, using some opinions from some of you guys. I hope some of you would like to take part and we can generate even more excitement ahead of the game.

If you would like to take part please drop me a PM and I can send you over the questions. I'll probably need 3 people if that's ok?

Thanks and best of luck  for the weekend (y)

1.Jelavic and erm Jelavic.
2.Reina, Johnson, Agger, Gerrard, Suarez.
3.Sadly not but a Europa League spot is a possiblity.
4.It's never not been imo.
5.I think he'll play on the counter-attack.
6.
7.2-1 Everton.

Fellaini.

The Blues are certainly blessed with greater squad depth than they've been used to in recent seasons. However, are there any Liverpool players you would take in the Everton starting XI?

Johnson or Kelly - don't rate Johnson particularly but he's a better RB than Hibbo or Coleman. Think Kelly looks a really good player indeed.
Agger.
Lucas.
Obviously Gerrard and Suarez are good enough, but I wouldn't want that pair of worms anywhere near our club.

With Everton having forgone their usual catastrophic start to the season, and already in the Champions League places, can you keep this up and 'break the top 4'? How do you feel about the current setup at the club, in terms of boardroom and manager, being right to keep the club progressing?

I don't think we've got the squad to keep it going all season. The less said about the board the better.

I don't think we'll ever get back to them days but I hope things take a turn for the better as a result of it.

Moyes gave Rodgers a lesson last season, but I expect he'll somehow contrive to bugger it up at the weekend now he's your manager. His derby record is shameful. Failing that there'll be some sort of ****ery from the referee. Don't even know if I can be arsed to watch it TBH*.

For a bit of nostalgia, what's your favourite Derby memory, and for our readers if you don't mind, your worst?

Best: That goal from Sharpy.

Worst: Clattenburg probably made me fume the most.

Finally, how do you see the game going? A scorecast prediction please!

1-1

*of course I'll bloody watch it.
