Sorry about the delay just having my dinner (pickled herring caught from the local fjord, naturally).
Nobody could claim to be unimpressed by Everton's start to the season, and you've had some great performances from a large number of your players, some from new faces and some from more familiar names. Which Everton player has impressed you most so far this season, and who should Liverpool fans be the most wary of?
The Blues are certainly blessed with greater squad depth than they've been used to in recent seasons. However, are there any Liverpool players you would take in the Everton starting XI?
With Everton having forgone their usual catastrophic start to the season, and already in the Champions League places, can you keep this up and 'break the top 4'? How do you feel about the current setup at the club, in terms of boardroom and manager, being right to keep the club progressing?
Recent news regarding the Hillsborough disaster has brought a heart-warming response from across the vast majority of the English football league and beyond. However, not surprisingly, Everton were a cut above the rest and I'm sure it goes without saying that all Liverpool fans would take any opportunity to thank the Blues for their gestures over the past month. The question is, with these genuine examples of Scouse solidarity, are we poised to see a return to "the friendly derby"?
Moving back to the game itself, in recent encounters between the sides, especially last season, Everton have gone into the games with more optimism than usual, and have perhaps even been considered favourites, as they may well be this week. Unfortunately for the Blues, the result has usually gone in Liverpool's favour even on these occasions. David Moyes has a pretty drab record in the Merseyside derby and some Blues I have spoken to believe he has a bit of a complex when it comes to games against Liverpool, where team selection and tactical decisions often take a negative and sometimes curious turn. Is this something you're aware of, and what side do you think Moyes will go with this weekend?
For a bit of nostalgia, what's your favourite Derby memory, and for our readers if you don't mind, your worst?
Finally, how do you see the game going? A scorecast prediction please!

Well in pal.

Baines has been most impressive for me so far, he's one of the top fullbacks in world football right now.
You should be most wary of Jelavic. He's had a relatively slow start to the season by last year's standard but he's like dog sh*t in and around the penalty box. You don't know he's there until the damage is done.
The Blues are certainly blessed with greater squad depth than they've been used to in recent seasons. However, are there any Liverpool players you would take in the Everton starting XI?
The Welsh Xavi, Joe Allen. Although we know he's not quite as good as he's talked up to be, he's still a tidy midfielder and certainly better than our current options. Also, Agger. He's one of the top central defenders in the country and would be fantastic alongside Jagielka. I like the look of Shelvey too, in a footballing sense as he's obviously a bit odd looking. He could be some player for you in the next few years.

We could. We won't though as the squad depth isn't there and to be finishing top four, you need to snotting teams like Wigan and QPR. Obviously, the board setup is abysmal and before we can think long term about moving on to the next level, it needs changing.

There'll always be knobheads on both sides who would prevent this. Personally, as a Scottish blue with no real connection to the events of Hillsborough, I still had a tear in my eye watching the tribute before the Newcastle game. Maybe there'll be a wee bit less venom at this one than in the past, here's hoping.

Definitely. You wait and see on Sunday. Three times last season it was obvious you were there for the taking and although the first game was ruined by Rodwell's ridiculous red card, we sh*t out big time in the other two. Wembley was a huge disappointment to see Everton trying to hold on after half time instead of going for the kill.
For a bit of nostalgia, what's your favourite Derby memory, and for our readers if you don't mind, your worst?
Favourite would be the AJ derby, and Pepe the Clown dropping the ball on Andy's glorious shiny head.
Worst would be the McAllister free kick or the Wembley debacle last year.
Finally, how do you see the game going? A scorecast prediction please!
2-1 Everton.
Afternoon guys,
Firstly, apologies to your moderators if I've come into the wrong part of the site to post this, I come in peace!
I'm here representing a fairly new Liverpool fan site, The Liverpool Word . We'd like to run a feature ahead of Sunday's derby, using some opinions from some of you guys. I hope some of you would like to take part and we can generate even more excitement ahead of the game.
If you would like to take part please drop me a PM and I can send you over the questions. I'll probably need 3 people if that's ok?
Thanks and best of luckfor the weekend
Tom
