Bookies definitely think they are goin to be weak anyway. 11/10 they are.. if it was a league game they be 1/3.

Yer not a chance the bookies have them at such long odds at home with there record without some idea they will rest a fair few

Ideally VVD/Salah/Mane are rested

Through [Poor language removed] and muck we'll fight like [Poor language removed] to keep the blue flag flying high.............

You’d get shorter odds than that.

Fact is the FA Cup has been dying on its arse since United ditched it to play in the first world club cup tournament. The top four qualifying for the CL further lowered it on the list of priorities. Due to the massive wealth of staying in the PL teams fighting relegation would also prioritise a league game ahead of it. It only really becomes relevant for a team with nothing more important to play for.

Another thing that wrecked it (that hasn’t really been mentioned much) is losing the old Wembley...”were going to Wemberley”...it was an iconic stage for a final that just winning a semi-final got people excited. The overhead shots of the stadium on Cup final day...all that excitement is gone. Like most people I used to watch the final regardless of the teams involved, it was a major event...of the top of my head can’t remember the last one I’ve watched.

I watched most of their game v Sheffield Utd, and was very surprised how one dimensional they really are. The only times they looked threatening was when the full backs hoofed it up for Mane and Salah to run onto. Whenever that option was cut off, they looked even more bereft of ideas in midfield than us.

I reckon we go the old 4 2 4, keep our fullbacks tight on mane and salah, and Richarlison and perhaps Walcott pressuring their full backs. Force them into their midfield, nick the ball off them (which should be easy even with just 2 midfielders) then a quick 4 v 4 counter attack sees us scoring several goals

Not forgetting the semis are also at Wembley, as well as all the play offs, and it just isn't as special and elusive an occassion as it used to be. But the biggest negative change for me is the 5pm kick off, which is midnight here. I haven't watched one since that happened.

I hope Carlos has watched the last derby match on video because all their success came from balls over the top when attacking us, we need to try and cut out their long balls because of the speed of their forwards.
Ancelotti knows how to make things difficult for Liverpool. They beat Napoli only once in four attempts recently. Can he get a result with our squad?

I hope they don't rest a lot of their senior squad, because I want to see how his tactics work against their best team.
