did anyone notice steven p telling jelly legs to F OFF after a poor pass from steven. cheek of it really.

Steven needs to buck his ideas up fast next season otherwise he,s another one who could be sitting on the bench.

Moyes doesn't like dropping favourites mate regardless of form.

OK just hoof it all day to an isolated Victor!

Erm no, continue to try and develop a team that can play football and go more direct when they need to.

Play 442 by all means if it suits your team, it clearly doesn't benefit ours when our weakest position is upfront. Just use some common sense.

Yeah but other than the disallowed goal what did he have to do?

One big decision, one big decision cocked up.

Sure.

There were several calls that he could have produced cards but he didn't. I thought he could have let the game get out of control but for the most part, kept a lid on things and kept it simple. Reffing a match isn't just about the big decisions.

And i know full well that we will say its not about Hillsborough. I know full well the song IS ABSOLUTELY about Hillsborough. A united song that glorifes the disgrace of Heysel and the tradgedy of Hillsborough. Simply listen to the words. "ALWAYS the victim". Yes that word. 'Always'. Not just Heysel. Heysel and everything else.

Now i drink with blues week in week out, i go to every away game. I know what gets said and what gets sung. Im not stupid and i'm not some whopper who gets offended by anyything. But today - its shook me to the core.

Thank God my friends and matchgoing mates arent like those so called evertonians that i had the misfortune to share an away end with today.

You classless Kopite; go back to RAWK and inform all your whopper friends that this song is NOTHING to do with Hillsborough at all, people like you who try to pass this off make me sick.

That awful day affected everyone in this city, and in all honesty it probably affects more people now, who sit at Goodison week in week out, than these weapons who come into the city to watch your lot and have no emotional attachment to that day.

The song is aimed at the cult mentality of the fans; the ones who think that everything is a conspiracy against them, the ones who think Howard Webb and Alex Ferguson run the FA and its all a plan to stop RS winning the league. The ones who defended Suarez for racism and diving, the tits (like Aldridge) who think its unjustified for a player to be banned for 10 games for biting someone, the fans who got branded 'Animals' by UEFA for their actions in Athens.

Always the Vicitm i.e. we've done nothing wrong but everyone is blaming us, when in fact you've done a lot wrong and you dismiss it

Post of the week.

Does anyone else think if the ref stops play before a free kick/corner to talk to an attacking player (and defender) the attacking player in question should switch to the top of the box and get replaced by someone else? (Haven't read whole thread so if this has been covered ... sorry.)

I don't care if he's replaced by someone not quite as good -- the ref is going to blow his damn whistle if the ball comes anywhere near the player he just had a word with. It happens almost every damn time. The ref will be watching him so get him out of there. In fact this method could help you get away with more stuff -- ref follows the warned player as he moves away from where the ball is going and perhaps the new player on the goal-line has a little less scrutiny.

... and yes it's possible the whistle wasn't for Vic but for Distin (or just for some ghost only the ref could see) but any-time the goalie goes down with an attacker nearby there is going to be a whistle. I still say pull the player out of there and give the ref one less excuse to blow his little whistle and take a goal away (which seems to be their favourite thing to do in the entire world).

Okay............ so what are you trying to say exactly ??

Today's events explain Moyes's standing disinterestedly on the touchline for most of the game. And even though he knew he was going he still didn't have one last real go at winning an Anfield derby -- that's the measure of the man...........good luck to his new employers.

Just had a chance to see full recording of the game last night. We were really poor. Howard, Coleman, Jagielka and Distin did well. Nothing in midfield or up front. Could not put three passes together. No passes between the lines.

Mirallas swishing his tail. Never saw a derby with so little passion.

When they have Coutinho with Hannibal Lecter, they will destroy us.

Where the hell was Barkley?

Where is Landon Donovan?

Barkley had tonsillitis, Donovan doesn't play for us.
