Koeman has a huge job on, so as long as we finish top half this season I'll be happy. It's all about the next two transfer windows. The first one was an absolute tragedy given the players we were really after, the next 2, particularly next summer, are huge. We need creativity and a big overhaul. This year he can just decide who doesn't make the cut, heads will roll next summer I'm certain.

Really? So you'd be happy at finishing,say, 9th? Roberto was rightly given the bullet for 2 11th placed finishes. We get a highly rated manager who comes in & improves the defence. He spends 25m on a winger to go with one if the best strikers in the Prem and you'd be happy finishing just above mid table.

I don't think anyone thinks mid table is acceptable but with this squad it's hard to see it getting above 9th

Do you seriously think our squad is good enough to get top 6? Because you're deluded if you do. We've got around the 8th or 9th best team in the league so I'd be happy if we finished there, especially given that the league has improved drastically since last year.

Expectations will grow massively next year after 2 more windows.

If anyone thinks we're not good enough to break into the top 6 then we've got the wrong Manager. By common opinion, we under performed last season and had a fraud as manager who couldn't set up a defence. This season, if the Manager is as good as everyone thinks, surely we should at least be challenging for top 5 or 6. That's what I expect anyway.

The players aren't good enough, the manager is irrelevant this season.

The real test will be trying to get anyone to pay reasonable money for the players who need moving out. The also-rans like Cleverley, Gibson, McGeady and Robles plus the big-noises who don't make much noise anymore like Jagielka, Mirallas and Baines.

Although there's always Sunderland.
