Let's be a bit more thankful

As the manager and the players have acknowledged: to lose by two goals against Brentford with the advantage of home support is unacceptable. However, 20 years ago, we were being sold a move out of our city to Kirkby and we had just lost 4-0 at home... to Bolton Wanderers!

It has been a dreadful few weeks (and a dreadful few decades!), but things could be so much worse.

We’ve been here before, many times.

Yes they could be worse, much worse, ask yourself where that kind of thinking has got us over the years? No where. Stagnation and the inevitable regression.

How about for a change, things could be better? Give a bit of positive energy into being a top team and club? Give the younger fans who have witnessed no success some excitement and things to look forward to?

We’ve had a bad match… Last year we would have killed for this form. I’m sick of the constant managerial bashing and changes, we’re mid-table and it’s ok..

Read again what I said Matty. Clearly a massive rebuild (like there has been for the last 40 years by the way), but it has to be faced with positivity, not the ingrained inferiority complex this Club suffers from. If we don’t aim for and expect better we won’t get better.

The problem for me is the fixtures against Spurs, Newcastle and Brentford.

We where absolutely battered conceding 11 goals at home in 3 games.

We are consistently conceding goals from set pieces at home too.

Too true forget who is managing us we are lucky we got bought out - if the new ground had not started we would have gone bust .....

The new owners I feel only purchased us because of our new ground & its location - Kirkby was a disastrous idea - the true cost of that move has never surfaced - the fact is we were lucky to survive .....
