Lescott : would you have him back?

Anyone who wouldn't want Lescott back needs to get real with football, the man left for a massive pay rise and the prospect of joining a team who would win the league (which they did) - anyone in his position would do it bar the odd couple.

He's a class player who was being praised for some great performances near the end of last season, him and Jags at the back again could be what this squad needs. If we can sell Heitinga for 7m+ and bring Lescott in on a loan deal with a future fee that isn't crazy, then that is brilliant business. This would also give us some more cash for January, an extra 5m on top of what we should have to spend (6m+) can mean a great player coming in.

If Moyes would take him back, so should our fans.

You clearly haven't actually understood why people don't want him back. It's not about what he did, it's about the way he did it.

Question : if he acted like Pienaar, and returned full of apologies, would you

1. Even care
2. Forgive and forget
3. Bacon

I'm only replying because you mentioned bacon...mmmmmmm!!

He caused massive problems with the squad at the time, but if it would improve the squad and get us some better results then why the heck not.

Yeah I get that but that wasn't all his fault, he let us down but who wouldn't get a bit like that if he was on the verge of that kind of deal. Pienaar was no different and in Lescott's case we got a huge sum for him.

Think you need to change your sig mate

NEVER.

Moyes thinks Neville can play football, though.

I didn't mean like that, obviously Moyes would have been gutted about how the situation panned out so he would be the first person to say no to his return.

His talk was he wanted to improve his chances of playing for England ..
if he had stayed with us, he, in his defensive role could well have been star man ..every week .. but to compete as star man in a team that has Maro Fellaini playing so well, even in a defensive role Lescott wouldn,t get a breadth of a chance... sorry he made his bed with ****teh ..sleep in it lad ..we have a better squad without him ...

As soon as he puts the royal blue jersey on, case closed. Prior to that, I don't think he is our priority. We have Jags, Distin and Heitinga therefore we have a plan B. Aguero or Ballotelli, Tevez or Santa Cruz, absolutely.

The money he brought in for the club was well received. Kind of ironic that what we sold him for covered the cost of Baines, Heitinga, Distin and Jags.

I would have him back in a heartbeat and dont think he did anything wrong in leaving us.

Football is business, he wasnt a boyhood blue or anything and we got good (ridiculous in fact) money for him.

Should Phil Jagielka have ****ed us off when we tried to sign him because we rejected him as a schoolboy?

People are far too precious about stuff like this.

I heard Man City might make a move for him with their newly found fortunes. MoyLeZ not a happy camper at all about this.
