David Moyes claims Leroy Fer will prove to be a great signing for Everton.

Fer, 22, is having his medical at Everton today and Moyes is excited about the £8.6million Dutch midfielder's potential.

Everton have beaten Benfica and Juventus to land Fer from Steve McClaren's FC Twente.

"Well, he's a really good player, but he's not signed yet," said the Blues boss. "He's only halfway through his medical and he's got a bit to do before we can confirm his signing."
