His main achievement is with a team that included Mbappe, Bernardo, Fabinho, Falcao and a few other really good players. That got broken up and it fell completely apart. Not for me.

Looks like he brought them players through and had them sold on for massive profit. Imagine if he were able to keep some of them. Interesting option for me.

This is one of the most salient points to remember. Arsenal and West Ham may be after someone too. PSG possibly, etc. But there are plenty of options around. We can pay decently, have a decent few players and hopefully will be replacing the dross over the next few windows and play in a (if not the) major domestic league in the world. We should be able to get virtually anyone out there that we target unless a CL league giant wants them and most of those are currently with a manager.

Moyes should not even be on the horizon.

Maybe we need someone young and hungry who can bring young players through and build a team. Ancelotti, will be have the hunger or patience at Everton ? Will he think he's doing us a favour like Koeman ? Ancelotti has only ever worked at top teams, what happens when he comes to our train wreck, someone like Jardim all day for me, I mean take a look at the young players he's brought through. Imagine if he were able to keep them, with money behind him, ticks a lot of boxes for me.

Having read that I do find him a bit more interesting, and possibly a better bet than Ancelotti, who would worry me because of his track record of mainly managing super clubs. How would Ancelotti cope with some of the duffers we haven't been able to shift from the Koeman/Walsh fiasco? I do think we need to be looking at a younger, hungrier manager.

I feel I should apologise to @mahermi1 1 for replicating your post, but I'm glad to see someone else thinks along these lines. I am really not convinced about the clamour for a big name manager.

Had a very good record before a duff season at the basket-case club that Monaco has become. Certainly a better CV than many of our previous incumbents.
