Leon Osman - The Cahill Demise

Gash up until 27? Bit OTT don't you think?

He's playing out of position, with a CM partner in the shape of Phil Neville. Nothing more needs to be said on the matter.

How long were we saying hibbert and osman need to be sold to bring in a proper Rm and RB. they were the reason our right side was so poor.

All but the best will look gash playing out of position with a very limited footballer behind them.

There's a good reason for that. Osman isn't a right winger.

You can't really blame a player for sub par performances when he's being played out of position. Osman doesn't have the pace to play on the wing, and having a very defensive RB behind you makes it that much harder.

Messi would look dung every week if he were playing with Skill Neville. Def needs Gibbo or someone of that elk beside him, letting play a more advanced role.

He is starting to get old now though.

He may not be playing in his preferred position, but surely that is no excuse for his poor first touch, lack of pace and inability to play some decent football in the middle?

I am hoping that this season proves to Moyes that he needs to get rid of the deadwood in the squad. Neville, Osman, Hibbert, hopefully Anichebe too, Mucha, Gueye (will never make it), Vellios (Moyes obviously doesn't rate him), etc. Would get a few million for that lot.

we have one of the smallest squads in the league and you wanna get rid of 6 of them??

Well said mate. The first four mentioned would be decent squad/backup players if we had a squad. But we don't. W need to build on the paper thin squad we have before binning any of those mentioned above.

I thought he was one of our better players in all honesty. All in all he's been a mixed bag in the middle of the park, some good games, some bad games...I think we'll see the best of him when Gibson and Fellaini return.

I rate Ossie, has some off games but most often the whole team has them at the same time. I think he's been improving the past few years tbh.

He's not a boss right midfielder. He's not a boss left midfielder. He's not a boss central midfielder.

He is a boss centre attacking midfielder.

He's played 99% of his career in one of the first three positions, including this season. That's the problem.
