He's a coach and unfortunately the results are pretty poor.

He won't be scouting or signing players at Plymouth either because they have a DoF. I don't think he will be the manager or think he's ready but you're acting like he spends his days playing music and going to gigs rather than doing his coaching badges and heading our 18s.

Yes you are right.

Sorry if I do him a disservice but I had always got the impression that he was more rounded, with interests in music and photography and less obsessed with football than most ex footballers.

He's never been the most vocal or seemed confident in TV interviews , hence I just couldn't picture him as a manager.

Otherwise a wonderful player and strikes me as a bloke you'd like to have a pint with.

Yeah I remember after he got sacked by Chelsea the reports were saying he doesn’t like to take new jobs mid-season, so I thought he’d take something in the summer. When he didn’t take anything I figured maybe he’s had a word in his ear from the FA.

The ex Wolves Managers got the job - over 40 players on the books = gobsmacked - also how does this ride with FPR surely they have breached that on spending like other clubs .....
