That was hard to read.

Which out of contract keeper are we getting mate?

We've had Boruc in on trial apparently mate although he's now gone to Southampton and there's been a lot of talk of us going in for Craig Gordon who is out of contract,Mucha himself in an interview last week about giving up international football didn't sound too convinced about his future at EFC.

bloody awful from management right down to the new boys, to a man just awful. Junior showed he is not ready for 1st team so can put that one to bed. Naismith worst player on the pitch by a country mile. Felli in CM wasn't anywhere near as effective as he has been at AM. Gueye may as well have been sat down for all the good he did. Oviedo got slaughtered but Gueye didn't help, diouf owned him, welcome to English football. Mucha is ... well not Mucha. That performance was like watching last season all over again.

I took the missus to the pub for that sh!t not good when people are laughing at you like. We should be trying to win that cup and the side he put out was still good enough to have beaten Leeds in m y opinion but they didn't look arsed, almost like they turned up expecting to roll them over.

It was a pretty poor performance, but there were a couple of positives. Despite how shyte we were, we still managed to create some good goal scoring opportunities, the ones that spring to mind are Anichebe's side footer over the bar in the first half, Naismith's header at the back post and Pienaar from the edge of the box where he smashed it into row Z. I think it is definitely a positive that we are still creating chances even though playing awful. This could serve us well in the season in games where we struggle to get going.

I gave a pre match record of our results at Elland road since the early 1900's from a vital football news site one fan moaned what did I mean by putting all that history on there well it is a jinx ground thats for sure - I have been there at Leeds as a youngster - My late father came to the conclusion it was a waste of time going he was a born blue - he gave me the example of in the early 1960's we played Leeds away getting beat 1-0 -we then got a pen when our ace penalty taker & what a player he was a Mr Royston Vernon got clattered in the box injured so much he could not take the pen our Capt of that time Alex Parker thumped it against the post - however we got another pen late on & Roy Vernon glared at Parker placed the ball down & got us the replay which we deserved.
Last night we strolled out with 6 changes & in fairness played poorly but the ref decisions were appaling a hand ball on the edge of the box & a deffo nailed on pen on Victor - but I think its a blessing in disguise, & a lesson learnt for DM you cannot look at the history, & play a team with no fight & make 6 changes!
By the way last game won there a young Wayne Rooney got us the winner, & you can count our wins the in over 100 years on one hand!!!!!!
I know we won a semi final there , but it was not v Leeds!

Innit, I don't know why Moyes persists with playing him further forward when he delivers such virtuoso performances in central midfield.

On Sky at half time last night the great Peter Ried who knows a few things when playing in midfield stated that Fellaini in midfield position looked ordanary to say the least & he has looked far more effective in his forward /midfield role as at swansea -I feel Felli 2nd half performance was alot better, but as a team we were just not at the races the defensive pair were awful all night, & Leeds played better & wanted it more - end off!

I was working nights and so watched the game earlier this morning. Hadn't seen the news or been on GOT as I didn't want spoilers.

Well now, that was shocking.

Best team won by a mile.

Wthout typing an essay, the fringe players who came in didn't offer anything much at all. The regulars seemed to be off the pace and off the game.

Coleman looked very average and not Premiership quality. Fellaini had a stinker by his own standards, but was on a par with Neville. Naismith has to do better with rare chances as a forward.

Basically, on this performance, a couple of injuries and we do not have suitable cover.
Glad to get this one out of the system.

Missed Gibson massively.

We are usually woeful in the League Cup, we still are.

I think we weren't prepare for the game. Leeds played with alot of energy and at a very high tempo and we looked like we didn't knew how to deal with it.

Juniors and Gueyes inexperience really showed. Fellaini looked lazy and didn't have no one to play with as Naismith, Gueye and Junior were completly lost in the game and Mirallas and Victor didn't get the support or service to be effective upfront.

On the plus side, like many of you have stated, Oviedo looked good on his full debut.

So disappointed about last nights performance.

Negatives: Gueye looked like a little league player being bullied by the Hulk, we might as well have played with 10 men. Naismith most have had a pass completion rate of about 5%, he looked so good in preseason - Mirallas coming into the starting 11 on his expense must have dealt his confidence a severe blow.

Positives: You could see the potential of Oviedo and Junior. Jelavic being back, but what really struck me was Fellaini, he was bad in the 1st half, but once he was moved forward and Pienaar came on he really improved. I wonder if Pienaar is the key to Fellaini's play. And as much as I hate it Neville actually made a difference when he came on.

if that's his potential we should re-sign scott gemmill

We were awful. And I mean awful.

Oviedo was a turnover machine. Distin and Heitinga got caught flat footed on the goal. Seamus gave up the second goal and clearly is still working out the kinks at RB (I'm more forgiving of this). Fellaini was a little half-assed until the end where reality settled in. Mirallas still doesn't pass the ball enough and is a tad selfish. Naismith was downright woeful. Junior looked overwhelmed.

Actually, even though he had the touch of an elephant the guy I thought was working very hard was Cheebs. Who would have thought it?

Trap game, we stunk up the joint, I'm mad we got dumped early.

Top teams should be able to manage these games (and I know City lost). We belong in that bucket.
