It doesn't matter how bad we played, how much we didn't deserve to win, how much u did or didn't like the team selection.

We were robbed a clear pen at the end that should of been our get out of jail free card!

So yes I do blame the ref.... The rest is imiterial...

We were robbed a pen?

Quick lads! Twitter campaign!

Why don't we play the strongest team in every game? No Europe this season, so very doable.

Because injuries will kick in if we do that and i would rather win our next 3 league games then worry about some inbred ****ty cup.

Leeds wanted it more simple as that.
The two worries for me though are the defence looks shaky and has all season apart from united and the centre of midfield is weak.
Leeds did what west brom did and got about us in the engine room, teams know that is our weakness.
Moyes should have brought in a strong centre midfielder bad management not doing.

Is I like that ? We can say we'll lose that game make a load of changes and are out of a winnable cup (again) but now we are guaranteed a couple of league wins now ?

Explain to me how not being bothered about trophies fits in with resting players in a derby last season to put a first XI out against Sunderland ? It makes no sense to me it really doesn't

Very disappointed in that result last night. The idea that Moyes couldnt arsed about it is just daft. I would have been pissed off if I was one of the 5000 who travelled if that was the teams mindset.

Another trophy and cup run gone a begging. We just simply under performed and i don't have any reasons for why that was the case. Leeds were hungrier and stopped us playing it on the floor.

I just hope our league form doesn't suffer. Only Everton can have you up one week and deflated the next.

COYB let's get three points at the weekend!

If we would have won last night we would have been into the last 16. Not really loads more games. Although I don't blame moyes for last night, I blame the half arsed superstars who thought all they had to do is turn up.

Manager selects the team and it's hs job to set them up and motivate them do surely he's responsible ? If you select second string players away from home surely you have to be careful your not sending the message your not taking it seriously ?

Maybe, but the team he picked didn't look interested from the start. I thought our senior players let us down.

Gonna have to disagree with you there bud. When you're 2 - 1 down against a team from the division below you, with three minutes left to play, you've played badly. Very badly in fact.

The first incident (felli's shot striking the defender's shoulder/upper arm) I'm not convinced was a penalty; had the situation been reversed and a penalty given against us in identical circumstances, I would be fuming - so I can accept the ref's call in that instance.

The second one however (Cheebs being grabbed in a bear-hug to stop him moving to the ball) was as clear a penalty as you will see this year and yes, the ref's failure to award it was a HUGE balls-up. HOWEVER, even if he had given the pen and Jelavic had slotted it home, it would not have magically made our performance in the previous 85 minutes any less garbage.

When you find yourself relying on penalties being awarded in the last five minutes in the hope of drawing level with lower-tier opposition, you haven't played well enough to deserve to win. At least no-one got injured.
