Glad I missed the game... I couldn't get the TV tonight so was unable to watch it.

Reading the posts above the game seems to have been nasty.

Neil Warnock always puts his teams out to play a rough and tumble game. You always expect a scrap and players to get a good kicking. Which is why always groan when I play his teams.

That was poor all round. We need to learn how to play against scrapping teams. WBA made us look sh*t and now Leeds have. I'm gutted to lose the shot at the cup but it's not the end of the world. As long as we play our first team in the FA cup. We looked a lot better and bossed most of that second half once we had our better players on. Had we had Baines out there we'd have taken that. And Gibson. The sooner we get him back, the better. It's these games where we really need him.

Oviedo was disappointing. I had my reservations about Naismith and he's done nothing so far this year to dispel them tbh. Thought the selection was fair enough, however. The players didn't show up though. If we win on Saturday though I won't be arsed, I'm not going to lie. If we win it'll have been a brilliant start that I'd have snapped your hand off for. This game doesn't change much, for me.

We didn't lose because of the fringe players who played. Pretty much every player, fringe, youth and experienced pro were gash.

Naismith made a poor pass, Fellaini and Distin attempted to tackle like 12 year old girls and they scored.

Second goal, how the hell does a Professional team3rd in the Prem let a man go unmarked like that? Why did Mr Experience, the manager on the pitch not point it out, isn't that why he keeps getting picked?

And yeah, we should have had a penalty but that hardly makes up for the utter gashness that went before.

Only Oviedo who looked ok for his debut and Anichebe who actually looked up for it and showed some good stuff come out with any credit for me. Everyone else were either just absolutley average or total gash.

Ok even if we had made it 2-2 did we really want extra time on a sodden pitch with pens looming knackering us up for sat v Southampton? It was a pen - but by then I just wanted a poor performance all round to end - by the way our defensive middle pair were awful again!

i don't blame moyes for this, from the off you could see we wasn't up for it. We had no pace to our game and i honestly think we thought it would be a stroll in the park. we deserved everything we got tonight. I feel sorry for our fans who travelled tonight to watch the spineless set of [Poor language removed].

Even though I figured we wouldn't field the most gelled up eleven I was still pretty confident in the ability of every player we had on the pitch (Bar Mucha, sorry Jan) but was proven wrong by an energetic hard working side. I'm still confident that these all are decent backup players but we seemingly can't field a half a squad of them the same time and expect a result.

Wasn't the last game we lost against uhh WBA? in similiar wet conditions?
Clutching straws here, I know.

Let's not knee-jerk too much here though lads. As Evertonians we need to be used to this kind of thing. The likelihood is that come Saturday we'll give Southampton a routine tonking with a proper side. Chill!

I so angry tonight. Moyes was to arrogant with his team selection....he knew he was in trouble after 10mins ..he knew he could,nt overcome 6 changes.

The players well... the ones who have got form did,nt turn up ans show no responsibility to drag the team back.
