My boss in Bradford says it terrible there.

He also said their local radio had said Leeds were gonna put a young inexperienced team out as they have injuries.

FFS John Kettley, sort it.

KOFF WEATHER

I shall be making a human sacrifice to appease the rain god Driponyu in exchange for the game to be played this evening.

*grabs dagger, shuffles into the shed*

why dont they just put a massive tarpaulin up? failing that get some of the covers from the cricket

this. If they haven't had some kind of contingency in place, I'm almost certain the game will be called off, which will be completely gutting, mind you this is Leeds United and Elland road we're speaking of, not Accrington Stanley, you'd assume they'd have some kind of filtration system ala Goodison, never seen a game called off for rain at Goodison.

No, just frozen pipes.

I really want this game to be played tonight, especially as it's the game been played over here on T.V tonight.

I know people are desperate for this game to go ahead but have a think about it. Firstly, it's not just about whether the pitch is playable - if it's putting the safety of 35 odd thousand people at risk asking them to travel through treacherous conditions, I can see it being called off. Secondly, good drainage will only get you so far as there'll be a limit to what it can drain away effectively. If there has been a month's worth of rain in one day, there's little chance of that being able to be drained off without extra work, if at all.
