I think we could surprise a few people. Given our next few fixtures I'd hope we go into it on the back of a few wins, which would build a bit of confidence. I think they'll rest a few due to this one straddling the Champions League. We'll also have a big following I would think, so the atmosphere could actually be in our favour. Last cup game down there was brilliant when we won on penalties. No-one gave us much chance then either. I'd rather be in our position than in Liverpool's, Stoke's etc.

Maybe one can win a trophy by playing all thw rubbish teams if the draw puts all the top teams against each other and some other rubbish team pulls a fluke in the other team. Thats what im moaning about

Given our performances and outcomes in what I will always refer to as the League Cup for as long as I have been a Blue......1968... I am afraid we will not be making me happy in this competition in 2018. Please vault me if I am wrong....check's 84 programmes flight tickets - grrrrrt

I know people don't all necessarily rate the League Cup or the FA Cup, but which would you rather us win?

EFL for me, seems like maybe the only way we may qualify for Europe at this point (given it's early in season obviously)

Maybe so, but it was the same back in 2011. That year most people didn't think we'd get through in that replay. When we did we played Reading in the next round at Goodison and most people thought we'd sail through (including me), there was talk of how we could win it now we'd put Chelsea out. We lost. It's a cup competition. Stuff like that happens. You may as well go into it being positive rather than assuming the worst.
