We all know the club needs real business men to move forward. These guys are obviously business men - the issue will be if they get sport or specifically football and football at Everton or not. Judging by the stories about the Padres it's hard to see that they would get it.

I don't see any reason they need to "get" football. It's not like they'll be running the day-to-day operations of the club. As long as they're smart enough to appoint someone as CEO who does get it, that should be good enough.

The thing is that only Moores and Noell are mentioned, so who are the UK investors alluded to in the Times original story?

Let's be honest, we know virtually nothing about these guys except one blog post and Wikipedia.

What we do know is they know how to make money, so will hopefully give the EFC commercial team a foot in the backside (although the new team will still be bedding in I suppose).

Yes for me, it's a gamble but some new direction and change can be good at times. Commercial operations and potential new stadium might increase so I'm all for it.

I would hope they'd have the kind of assets to get a frickin stadium built immediately.

Planning permission takes time mate, you need a design first as well, though it's quite likely they've already got ideas on stuff like that.
