Last Film You Watched

Coogan's Bluff - not as good as other Eastwood films from that era but still enjoyed it.

Prisoners with Jake Gyllenhall and Hugh Jackman - Enjoyed it, solid 7.5/10

The first 4 X-Men films. Was a bit disappointed after the first three films. Enjoyable, yes, but not really great.

The first film suffered from bad CGI. The beginning of the film, where they introduce you to the Wolverine, is ace. The action is pretty okay, but the CGI is, as previously mentioned, bad and that ruins it for me. 5/10

Second film was a step up from the first one when it comes to CGI. It's been a few days since I watched it now, and I don't remember much. That's not a good thing. Though I remember thinking it was better than the first one. 6/10

X-Men: The last stand. Great action, though the story is pretty lackluster. They're hyping up Phoenix like she's the greatest thing ever, and all she really does is standing there for the entire final battle, looking pretty. 5/10

X-Men: Days of Future Past. The best one by far. Compared to the original trilogy, this film is fantastic. Great. 9/10

Edit: And credit where it's due. Ian McKellen is phenomenal as Magneton.

I've just got home from seeing Florence Foster Jenkins which opened today in Melbourne. It's a pretty accurately told true
story, which is hard to believe when you're watching it, but I've done a search and it is.

It's hysterically funny, mostly, but is also sad at some points. There's a scene about fifteen minutes in when everybody was
laughing out continuously for about two minutes, at a guess.

It's about an opera singer who thinks she can sing but is really bloody awful. Don't worry if you don't like opera, it doesn't matter, it's
just a very funny movie.

Oh, and part of it is shot over the water in Wirral, somewhere.

Went to watch Captain America : Civil War last night, it was really cool, on the face of it, it is a cool superhero movie, with loads of marvel characters and great action, plot twists and comedy moments. But really its about the impact of; terrorism, war and what happens when intervening in hostile situations around the world, goes wrong.
