Last Film You Watched

Watched that '71 last night about the British sold left behind in the Catholic part of Belfast. I thought it was alright but no much better than that.

Watched the Revenant last night. She went to bed halfway through but I thought it was good. Especially the bear scene and the ending. Leo played the part well as well. Good from start to finish. 8.5/10
Thought the ending was massive let down in comparison the bear scene which was brilliantly done. It was pretty long and could have been shorter without some of the long artistic photography shots of the trees and what not. Apparently in the true story his son was never on the trip and when you consider that I don't think it's fair to think of Hardy's character as a villain, guy was just trying to survive.

Watched HATEFUL 8 the other week.

Overall a great film. Tense, funny and violent - exactly what I want from a Tarantino film. The only thing that ruined it was the intermission in the middle. Here I was, properly gripped by the storyline, mind racing trying to figure out who the secret villain is, and suddenly the lights come up and an advert appears on screen telling me to buy a coke. What a joke. Took me completely out of the moment and any suspension of disbelief was firmly un-suspended. Waited & twiddled my thumbs for 20 minutes while people shuffled back and forth getting popcorn and nachos.

Watched THE REVENANT last night.

Again it was a fantastic film. The cinematography was breathtaking and the film felt absolutely brutal. Don't get the Leo Oscar shouts though, I really don't. He never felt like the main character to me. Hardy probably stole the spotlight while Leo crawled about for 2 and a half hours.
Overall a great experience but not something I can see myself re-watching any time soon.

Was reading about the actual events before mate. Yeah there's a good case for saying that they left him with some justification as it's likely they would have died themselves if they hadn't. I liked the ending like but I can see what you mean though
