Last Film You Watched

I agree, in order to make an impact with the increasingly desensitised masses mainstream cinema has increased the graphic violence etc. accordingly. I'm not really into that stuff, psychological horror is more disturbing I reckon.

I'm not sure on desensitised, because I noticed it, especially with 'Drive' - I noticed it because it didn't fit, not with the atmosphere and styling of the rest of the film. Perhaps it was intentional. As for 'Kill list' I realise violence and death were integral, but blow for blow someone killed with a hammer was a bit much.

I'm all for a bit of realism, and I understand why government stepped in to outlaw actual torture/mutilation/death porn.

I suppose the question is left in the lap of the expectation of the viewer.

Interesting view mate.

I remember watching irreversible, the violence at one point was genuinely disturbing. It fitted with the film though.

I don't have the stones to watch.... "two girls one cup" and back on actual films... I still havn't done ''Martyrs''.
