Last Film You Watched

He was good in it too though!
That was my first exposure to Rickles, then I got into Norm Macdonald and then from his mnetions started looking at Rickles funny stuff and thought isn't that the po faced second in command in casino?

I had actually watched him in kellys heroes without realising it, but it opened up days of wonderful new youtube clips for me.

Jesse Ventura as Blain in Predator wasn`t too shabby. - ( granted he didn`t have to do anything too taxing, but he made that part his own and ad libbed one of the all time great lines in it too )

Burt Reynolds was pretty buff in Deliverance - won an Oscar.

Tom Hardy as Baine - Dark Knight ( I know he bulked up for the part )

Multiple Christian Bale films - inc the Dark Knight and American Psycho - I know he bulks up or slims down dependant on the part.

I don`t think being bulky is the problem, it`s not being able to act in the first place:lol:

His huge transformation was between The Machinist and Batman. I think he bulked in 5 months.

Double bubble this weekend

Friday night we did a very daft horror, 'Haunting Of The Queen Mary', which is somewhat filmed on the boat moored off LA, but the UK production was given away by a vending machine full of flakes and curly wurlys.
Quite gory and decent enough filmmaking, but the plot is dealt with in a really cack handed way - when you make sense of it you're like 'thats not a bad idea, shame they made such a mess of putting it together'.

On Prime.

Last night we did Predator: Badlands.

Y'know what? It's a lot of fun. If you're big on the Pred, I could see why you might take against it and its definitely a few rungs below Prey - doesn't have anything like the craft, tone or ambition.
But it does something new with the franchise, has some great new critters, and some of the best lines since P2. Elle Fanning has a lot of fun continuing the now seemingly obligatory 'dual personality Weyland bot'. Was perfectly fine for a multi million dollar B Movie.

Disney.

Might do a serious 4k this afternoon.

Cold Storage looks worth a go, reviews are decent and it sounds like a load of fun.

Wasteman getting very good reviews too.
I watched it the other week, as a horror/comedy it's not too bad, the 2 lead roles play off each other well and the are a few chuckles in there,if you take it for what it actually is a B movie aimed mainly for teens then it's enjoyable
