Watched Oppenheimer on IMAX this afternoon. Really good stuff. Very serious, well treated biopic. Cillian Murphy excellent, and does a lot of the dramatic work without being overly dramatic about it.
Nice to see Macon Blair in there, who’s a great underrated actor (and writer, and director).
My only criticism would be I would have liked to see some scenes play out a bit slower, as the editing is pretty quick from one scene to the next.
But a solid, incredibly well made movie, watched in a packed, sold out cinema which is great.
Oh, and Jim Caveizel. Oddball. And by the way, if I was a religious man, and was playing the son of god in a movie, and was struck by lightning twice, I’d take that as a sign that the almighty wasn’t best pleased with me.
