Just got back from watching The Batman. Thought it was proper meh.

I wouldn't go as far as 'meh' but I think people raving about it had made their minds up before even watching it. They want it to be brilliant, so it was.
One thing that I forgot to mention the other day that was a MASSIVE positive for me over the three Nolan films. Batman didn't have his utterly ludicrous Batman voice. Yes it was different to the Bruce Wayne voice but not comic book stupidly different.
I'll stand by my gloom comment though. Yes he's a 'bat', bat's operate at night. Yes Gotham is a miserable place, I don't expect sunlit Meadows. I just don't see the need for less than 15 mins daylight in a 3 hr film.
In a few scenes the dark really made it work, but it was massively overdone.

Utterly hacked off seeing the news day in day out with looming threat of world war 3, so today I'm going to have an escapist day and watch a triple bill of movies to take my mind off of it and have some laughs. I've chosen:

Always thought it was a great movie but the ending is completely meh from a storytelling point of view. If Indy had just stayed at home, put his jacket in the wash and rubbed a bit of leather restorer in his whip the outcome would have been more or less the same meltface Nazi result.

Been watching Big Bang Theory recently?
I watched a movie called "Project: Gemini". Russian movie. The premise was decent but it was just godawful. Russian movies, for some reason, are forcing themselves to film in Russian then to English. It's the weirdest thing, makes all the acting just unwatchable. Special effects were pretty good on it too. Just so weird why they are doing that.
Nope but I have seen a couple of episodes. Can't recall them (Someone wearing Doppler effect fancy dress is all I can remember) but it's very possible I'm subconsciously recycling something from that - it just came into my head at the end as it was on Sky Movies before.
Whole episode of Big Bang is about the Raiders conundrum that's all.
Pretty sure I've not seen that one. It's probably been written or talked about a million and one times - safe to say I don't have an original thought in my head
Rewatched "Margin Call"...good film, sort of like a Glengarry Glen Ross of the stock market. Good script.
