Last Film You Watched

Just watched Guy Ritchie’s new film Wrath of Man on Prime. Sit back and enjoy the violence really. The plot can be worked out within the first 10 mins so not clever like his usual ones but it also isn’t a comedy like the others. Still for the life of me can’t work out a couple of things in it.

Also, how far has Josh Hartnett’s stock fallen?
Just watched this myself, must say I didn’t have high expectation’s but it certainly beat them.
Not sure if this had a theatrical release as it has all the hallmarks of ‘Netflix movie’ (only on Prime) but found it very entertaining.

Saw a trailer before Spider-Man for another Guy Ritchie film coming out next year with Statham as the lead too haha.

Wrong Turn on Netflix. Had never heard of this film series before, so no idea how the reboot compares, but I really liked this movie.

Genuinely didn’t know how it was gonna play out, and had some really striking and surprising scenes.

Felt a bit like it didn’t quite know how to end, so had a succession of twists in a short time which was a bit jarring. But really enjoyed it, and a great performance from the lead Charlotte Vega.

If this is the newest one then they’ve massacred the original series completely.

Better than the original.

They’ve used the original as a template, ironed out the duff bits and polished the rest of the film.

Cracking ending too.

Knew nothing about it going in, so was expecting a standard kids in the woods slasher type thing, so was really surprised by the way it turned after the first act.

Some really unsettling things in there - seeing all the people who’d been ‘sentenced to darkness’ was really creepily effective.

It would make a very good book too.

Wrath of man, mindless entertainment which passed the time, will probably have forgotten it exists within a week or so though

Back having been massively underwhelmed by Jojo Rabbit.

The tone didn't work for me, almost certainly a sense of humour or getting the point fail on my part. Ending had impact, granted, but it wasn't for me.

I found it a very weird and muddled film, to the point where its completely put me off watching anything Taika Waititi is involved in.
