Is Army of the Dead any good? Just seen it's prequel has hit Netflix.

I wouldn't use the word good. Watchable, yes. It's one of those films which are bad, but you could sit through it.
The prequal has Natalie Emmanuel in, so defo being watched. a fine actress with a good body of work.

Watched these 3 over last few days, all decent horrors, definitely worth a watch. Solid 7/10 for all 3

I watched Battle Royale today. I'd been meaning to watch it for years but never got round to it.

I did not expect it to be so gruesome. I quite enjoyed it.

But, it’s about 30 mins too long ( imo)

Rewatched The Descent with the missus

Still great. Mad how the extra minute at the end which the Americans didn't get basically changes the entire movie

Aye aye, this is a bit of a corker. Its ostensibly another of Roger Corman's Edgar Allen Poe films, but in fact its primarily a Lovecraft adaptation (The Case Of Charles Dexter Ward) and is seemingly one of the earliest attempts to put his work on film.
Its creepy, atmospheric, well made on a tight budget and with the Necromicon, Cthulu and other mythos present and touches of cosmic horror there's plenty for Lovecraft fans to feast on.
Lovingly restored by Arrow, I really enjoyed this as one of our Halloween horrors.

It was like the Benny Hill team decided to make a horror film, complete with toy guns, joke shop werewolf masks and Primark pyjamas !

Puts all of those Hammer House of Horror films to shame lol
