Enjoyed this. Always like that directors work of kind of towing the line between B movie and genuine quality film making.

Really slow burner but there’s enough between Vaughan and Gibson to keep you going.

Travelling for work through Alaska and stuck in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, no food, no internet/wifi no cable or network TV for two days. However, the hotel room (if you can call it that) had a 20 year old DVD player in it, and a tiny selection of DVD's for free one nights rental lollol

These are the three movies I picked (out of the 12 they had). The Shawshank Redemption, Fargo and Goodfellas.

It was a good night after all!

Went to watch Suicide Squad last night......what a load of mental garbage that was.

The funny bits weren't that funny, plot seemed to be lost in all directions, went on far too long and was left feeling pretty 'meh' after it all.

Some action scenes were ok, the shark thing was funny, a great soundtrack and it was better than the first one are the only plus points I can come up with!

Overall disappointed 4/10

Some classics from the 90s

A modern American classic. Nuanced, crafted, adult. Like LA Confidential it just gets better as it ages. Fincher's best film, by 'kin miles.

Watched The Professor and the Madman last night. It tells the story of the strange collaboration that helped to develop the Oxford English Dictionary.
Didn’t enjoy the film at all tbh. Drifted too far from Simon Winchester’s book with some somewhat ridiculous storylines
