No. Just no.

Evening David.

I stated clearly Ronnys remit in the summer was to secure European football, a remit he completed with plenty of games left in the tank, thus theres a line of thought to decree this season a roaring success.

Next season brings other challenges, but the remit will again be European football and to try and make a fist of the 4 comps we will enter starting in July.

Maybe not as good as your hero Martinez's famous 72 points in his 1st season. The last 2 seasons have been atrocious though and this has been a far better season if you cannot see that Dave you are living in a Martinez fantasy land.
They're not famous mate. They are, however, fact.

A roaring success. 58 points on the board and out of both cups by January 7th.

No wonder we've gone 22 seasons without a sniff of a trophy.

I can't help but laugh at some of our "support"..... Stay or don't stay for the lap, but those saying the players don't "deserve" it? Seriously? I am old enough to remember us winning the league, and of course want us back on top, but honestly, how can anyone say we are not in a better position than we were 12 months ago? For the first time in probably a generation the club look to be headed in the right direction, yet some still not happy? I can only imagine where you were in the relegation scrap years if you're not happy with the past 12 months..... Maybe blind optimism, but I fully expect Rom to be back next season, as has been said by many level headed people on here, he will not want to sit on the bench in a WC year, and isn't going to walk into a team better than us.... At the end of the day, no we are not where we want to be yet, but we are a damn sight better off than it was...

After 2 seasons of abject misery, 7th almost feels like Home.
"Abject misery". Midtable and two cup semi finals.

You, like I, have seen abject misery with Everton, and you know it didn't look like the last two seasons before this one.

Take the pain soldier!!!!

It's on telly here but I won't be watching it. This is a weak team that wins Sweet fanny Adams. As usual, their close of season form has been crap.
Standing ovation at Goidison? ...you're joking right?

Wish I was home, I'd have stayed definitely.
I'm not quite sure why I stay, not sure it's to say thanks, more like 'well we won't see you for a while so until next time take it easy and enjoy your break' something like you'd say to your mate.

I know this season ain't over yet but I'm looking forward to the next one already.
