I don’t think he’s been bad at all as all DoFs have hits and misses, but it it is difficult to assess exactly how he has done, because he’s had to operate in a far more unfavourable financial and unstable environment than his predecessors, with the same dysfunctional board. Must have been horrendous.

I agree! They reckon about 50% of all signings in the prem are a success I would rate Thelwells signings a lot higher than 50% even down to Tim Iroegbunam, we got the best of that deal.
Really would have liked to have seen what he could do without hands tied behind his back.

I agree in theory with Kinnears restructuring so in the end and with the new ownership he wasn't going to stay in any event.
He will do well at Rangers and they should be challenging soon enough.

I’m sure that’s linked to the fact that Kenwright & Moshiri were playing no role in recruitment last season and he could get on and do his job.
He's also spent a bit of time putting systems in place to improve scouting etc, I know that stuff isn't as quantifiable as just reviewing signings, but in the long run its pretty important
