Showed some class when he came on, lovely little run. I would have started him personally - he knows what it means

With hindsight it's easy to say that he should have started, however Koeman obviously for whatever reason prefer Calvert-Lewin over him.

Personally, like yourself I would have started him as he's an experienced player and on his day can influence a game but it wasn't to be.

And we've all seen Mirallas start and do literally nothing for 78 minutes until he's subbed and had a strop or his cheese string hammy has gone again.

Mirallas should be starting the majority of matches - upfront along side Lukaku, or at the very least in an attacking 3 situation. If he doesn't start he should most certainly be coming on at around 60-65 minutes.

Constantly looks dangerous (especially as a sub) and often provides something completely different to anyone else on the field.

I hate how often he is overlooked for players who are nowhere near as effective.

99% of Evertonians will agree that Barkley has been our best player since the turn of the year, despite Lukaku being the TVs golden boy. But you want to drop him after one bad game, even though he was nowhere near being our worst player on the day.

Should have never came off the pitch today. Jags and Williams were holding there own and we needed someone to relieve the pressure. Mirallas was doing a solid job.

yeah i didn't really get that unless RK thought that going three at the back could allow baines and Holgate to push on a touch restricting their wide players from getting forward. It seemed to upset us more than them though Kev was playing well.
