Arsenal or whoever, he wont end up at Everton. If he does, it'll be after all other avenues have been explored and he and Olympiakos are stuck with the realisation that no other club wants to take a chance.

If by all other avenues, you mean clubs that are of the quality of Arsenal, then I'm quite glad, because it suggests that he is a decent player.

As for DAVIDMOYES: it sounds harsh I know, but if you come on and drop a no frills dramatic statement and it doesn't work out then it's pretty much all credibility lost. There are ways and means of diseminating info and this wasn't a clever way of doing it...or indeed fair on others he must know are desperate.

Dont agree with that really. I dont think anybody actually believed that the player had already actually signed like he had said. He clearly had some good info, and was simply 'swinging the bat' a little bit gambling that the player would sign imminently. If he doesnt, then he doesnt. But i'll certainly not be dismissing any other speculation he comes out with.

Davek is bang on with this IMO, He will not be an Everton player

Hes used us to get a better deal from another club

Actually it's hard to tell whether or not this is ruled out by LCAB, being cryptic, saying that EFC's schedule was for him to have a medical today, but we'll see as you would think Arsenal being interested would make them favourites. Let's not have a go at LCAB whilst he's not here to defend himself though, eh? he's been a well respected poster on this site before and there's no need for some lids getting on his back.

well respected poster who now has a at members of this forum. The guy thinks hes the dogs bollocks but ive seen him get more wrong than right.

Its clearly still on.

His Agent is playing the game and the lad would clearly rather go to the Arse and play CL footy, plus these foreign lads love Dat there London.

In his interviews he says the window is still open for 2 weeks, so hes in no hurry to committ, which is a shame.

I guess we wait.

The fee from the Van Persie deal will be made available to Wenger but, having already spent £35 million this summer on recruiting Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla, he will give his new signings their chance to impress before deciding whether to buy another striker.
Giroud, who was the top scorer in the French league last season, is expected to start as the main central striker against Sunderland tomorrow, with Podolski to his left and Walcott to his right. Cazorla is likely to play behind Giroud in Cesc Fabregas’s old ‘playmaker’ position.

“The economic part of it is the only satisfaction. But money doesn’t go out on the field and play, players do. It will give more chance to Giroud. When Van Persie is here, his name is the first on the teamsheet and the others follow. So there’s a void to fill. It’s up to whoever wants to seize their chance.â€

Hardly sounds like they are in for a striker

From Wenger interview after the RVP sale:

Wenger revealed he will not be replacing Van Persie - having already brought in Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla this summer."We already recruited to replace him," claimed Wenger on French TV station TF1. "We have already recruited since we bought Giroud and Podolski, who originally were intended to offset the departure of Van Persie."

I don't think they're after a striker either. I get the feeling that we have literally just in the last day or two, opened talks with olympiakos about the transfer and are still in the process of agreeing a fee.

Encouraging. Assuming Wenger is telling the truth.

Which isn't something you should ever assume.

That's just it, there's a difference between speculating and knowing. The best ITKs know how to manage the info and the expectations that go with it.

I realy hope I'm wrong and that the OP is all over this thread screaming 'in your face' at all doubters and detractors - me included.
