Depends on your definition of chance really doesn't it, Ross, Gueye, Vellios, Coleman, Duffy, Mcaleny have all played in the PL while Bidwell has made a senior appearance in the league cup, really the only player in the squad not to have got a chance at senior level is junior!

We and every other team in the country is trying to pack their squad full of young talent at the mo, the advent of financial fair play is upon us.

I think youth doesn't get any more of a chance as it would in the average Premier League club, unless we have a massive injury crisis and run out of experienced players to play out of position.

But that isn't as catchy a tagline, to be fair.

None of this counts mate.

Cos none of stayed in the team mate.

At Everton you should play crap players simply cos they are young.

I think i've explained my definition of chance quite well so far in this thread.

So put it this way : would you consider Kevin Mirallas to have had a chance at Everton to show what he can do so far? 2 sub appaearances and a start?

I wouldn't. People always say new signings need time and games to show what they can do before being judged.

So does youth. Youth very rarely gets that chance though.

I know. If only we had the games where we could do so.

Liek being 4-0 up at home whilst resting players for semi finals.

James McFadden single-handedly puts to bed the notion that we give youth more of a chance than other clubs.

What on earth he was doing at Everton last year I'll never know.

I mentioned that Cleverly chap before, hes been at United since 2000, he made his Manchester United debut in 2011.

So yeah, we give youth more of a chance than United.

It is actually ridiculous when you consider that all the youngsters in our first team squad have made PL and senior appearances (bar junior and that's a matter of time), consider the ages of those players as well - I did and was really surprised - its pretty impressive as it goes!
