Are you from Liverpool?

No, but I know about the history of Liverpool and I know 800 years ago it was under the stewardship of my home town - 40 miles away. It became independent, and Everton FC have both been outside of the "Liverpool" boundary when they first formed and then moved to Goodison. So I don't see it as a reason to not move.

There must be other valid reasons to use to go against moving to Kirkby.

Well I would have thought derby day in town would have been half and half - but I saw one Everton fan per 20 Liverpool fans. To me that says a lot about what Evertonians really think about the centre of Liverpool. So what does that tell you?

Don't get me wrong, I would love to stay at GP, but its not much of an option at the moment, I would love to have a plush new stadium built in around the city centre - I think that would really give a boot up the arse to the RS, but again its not likely to happen. What is likely to happen is that we move to Kirkby, so regardless of what pressure groups say and do, not much is going to stop this from happening.

Jesus Christ, I was in Liverpool city centre prior to the Anfield derby and I saw [Poor language removed] all Evertonians, just RS every where, city went a long time ago. What difference does it make if you play in Liverpool suburbs or Liverpool city centre? None.

Also, I would like some clarification on such debt, because I'm not 100% certain of those figures.

Ghost even if Kirkby was in the boundary it would make no difference to me I dont like the deal,or the stadium you do fine thats your right but I will have to differ.

As I have said on other threads, boundaries mean nothing to me in principle. I think Kirkby isnt a good location for the long term future of the club. There are also other theories being talked of now, that the club or its advisers are extricating itself from the city of Liverpool and will rebrand itself as the Knowsley Club ? Im not keen on that as you may imagine.

There is a table of accounts on the TW feature story from yesterday about the EGM with details of the clubs income over the last 7 or 8 years. Or you can see them in more detail by googling EFC AGM and the year.

It depends where you are in Liverpool. Some areas are 50-50, some areas are more Everton and some areas are more Liverpool. You obviously went to a Liverpool part of town. We certainly haven't lost the city.

What is Kirkby actually going to offer us? Whats is going to do to push us up a level? I can't see what its going to bring to be honest.

there is a lot the fact we are liable for any overspend(I got stung on this myself)paying £78million that has to rise with materials inflation for a stadium we have little input ,the claims that we will make extra cash that can only be speculation and that is done on all the best criteria which wont happen never dose if it was taken on middle of the road figures I would have been more inclined, that we are getting all these extra fans as the yes voters point out its only down the road so on that basis why aren't these fans coming now,the fact that we are making extra cash from the stadium now the council have banned concerts ect to avoid disturbing the residents has to limit what we can make and why the hell should the council get 100 free uses of the stadium with us footing the cost of them having to move elsewhere because we are using our own stadium. there is more mate but I cant think off the top of my head ,I admit that I was all for the dock move and now it looks even better than it did.

OK, read that pdf - hadn't seen it before, and I hold my hands up. There are some issues that need to be looked at, and I would expect them to be addressed asap.

One thing I just don't buy is that Kenwright and Wyness are doing all this for their own greed. Surely Kenwright knows what's at stake being a fan, and Wyness isn't that intelligent.

In fairness you can see everyone has their own reasons, which is sound.

Its when people try and hide behind the simple fact that its further for them or they prefer their boozer on County Road thats wrongo. Thats them types who start speaking [Poor language removed] about Kirkby and transport and [Poor language removed].

Just turning around and saying "I cant be arsed to travel further" or "Orrys is the tits and I dont want to sacrifice it" would be damn good reasons.

And Im a move to Kirkby type-of-melt.

No thats what worried me whenthey started saying you have to have a long walk to the ground,I have heart trouble and cant walk far ,if I go to the shops ect I drive then use my mobility scooter to go round ,thats why I asked inthe other thread the trouble is if any one asks anything one side or the other think you are slagging them when for once it was genuine,to be honest mate by the time the ground is ready if it ever is its quite possible I wont be fit enough to go last season I got the son in law to drop me off at the ground and wait for the crowd to go and pick me up .

Kirkby's very much a blue town in that respect.

Some vocal fans (if you read the majority of the articles printed on the Toffeeweb homepage) say there would never set foot in Kirkby. Which would probably change IF the stadium is a success and things roll on to greener fields etc. Its a dummy out of the pram moment for those fans.

You could write a book about the cons, the council documents etc, Ghostie - it really melts your brain.

And yeah, I still have the hope the board has the clubs best interests and problems will be rectifyed being that nothing as of yet is 100% set in stone.
