Joy Deprived

A player off with a swollen eye, another with a hammy. A narrowly off side goal, a dubious penalty not given, their keeper carried off after our centre forward scored and the only thing separating the teams after that was a last minute winner. But yes, no fight

Great, but I expect professionals to focus for all the game however long it lasts.

And Everton surrendered the initiative pf that game well before the last minute too.

This why I want Iraola. I want to see my team attack and try and win every game we play no matter who the opposition is. On the front foot from the off. I can take losing, it’s part of the game but I want a manager who makes us believe we can keep getting better and better.
In my lifetime of watching football since the late 70’s all the teams that have won leagues start from square one, Hence the need for a new manager. They go home and away with the intent to win at all costs. Never happy with a point. Yes you will lose and concede but as time goes on it becomes the norm and before you know it teams are happy to get a point off us on their ground. That’s how I remember the Kendal days. And is that not the attitude of the R/S. Ferguson utd. And the rest.
If we don’t have this attitude we will never get where we want to be. Settling for stability constantly, being happy to get Conference league ffs. Iraola looks that guy to me and if he can’t do it after 3 years of backing we get someone else.
Moyes has served his purpose. This summer it’s time to move on.

Completely agree.

I dont mind what style any manager adopts: possession-based or more direct or a hybrid of both, as long as they play home and away with only 3 points in mind.

We need an inspiring manager and Moyes cant provide that.

If we dont get shut of Moyes then all the talk of a reboot at this new stadium is bollocks to me.

All I said was 'she was never deprived'! She had very wealthy parents. Says a lot for your mindset...ya filthy animal 🤭

It is true. The only club with a longer drought of any 'success' (trophy or promotion) than ours was Oldham, but they were promoted from the Conference last season to make us the longest suffering side in that respect. As I said earlier, I'm not saying I'd like to get relegated to achieve promotion, but it is it's own peculiar purgatory that we're in where there have been incredibly few days of pure joy and pride for us to revel in.
I get it and I am a little surprised. However I'm happy we have avoided relegation to be denied the joy of promotion

We certainly know weve never had success not sure on all others . Im with you on relegation obviously.
I am not sure I envy the relative "success" of all the relegated and promoted teams. But each to their own. I find it hard to believe every other of the 91 or whatever teams has won a trophy or been promoted though
