If he doesn't start a game it's because at least one of DCL or Richarlison is in form. He was a cheap option brought in just in case we got an injury after letting our 3 other strikers go on loan. Maybe in hindsight Simms could have done 5 minutes here 15 minutes there but it would have been a gamble. I don't think he's good enough but if he nicks an important goal off the bench which is still a possibility between now and the end of the season it will have been a shrewd move. If not it was a liw cost gamble that didn't pay off. Either way at the end of the season I would shake his hand and thank him for his services.
