If he goes back down with Fulham, he's not coming back up - even if released on a free. If they stay up, he's only going to be in another relegation battle next season and no closer to winning anything. Huge gamble by him for a few extra thousand quid a week for the next six months. Money over ambition - the reality of modern day football.
