Pickford has areas he could improve in, yet all things considered (as you say) he's been our most influential player across the last few seasons.

Without him, we wouldn't be where we are, and for that I'm incredibly grateful.

I was thinking this earlier when watching him warm up. The alternative is that if you love goalkeeping and making saves then better to play in a team where you do more of it.

I think he's found a home at Everton, and arguably he's a big fish in a small pond here, which can suit people. As you say, he's unquestionably busy here!

That was frustrating wasn't it. Then to go on and say how good defensively we are and how many clean sheets we've kept. Yeah that is all possible with an "erratic" goalkeeper.

The one when he came running out, ok he got it wrong but he quickly retreated and it would have been some finish from Jackson to score. Got a bit lucky on the tackle like but we'll take that with how bias that ref was.

Should be the most universally loved player we’ve had in the last 5 years if not decade. Best player for most of that time and stayed loyal to us. You’ll miss him when he’s gone.

Prerequisite for the position.

One small mistake and you transform into Sideshow Bob Terwilliger and a pariah to your team-mates. Not the sanest position to occupy.

Felt like that myself mate. My favourite part was them saying he is magically an outfield player if he goes into a challenge with his feet. Terrible, terrible analysis. Especially from Given.
