Look up his stats, he’s been leaking goals through all of his pro career. Him getting awards by the club only shows how worthless they are. He got a new contract based on his performances for the English national team, not for Everton, a contract im sure the club is now regretting as he’s clearly not worth what he’s being paid.

actually, compare his stats with Tim Howards. He wasnt a world class keeper either, but he leaked way less goals.

interesting as I never rated Howard but Pickford is frightening. Utter Clown.

Based on being a premier League and international goalkeeper you don't get to that level by a fluke.

He may have been that standard in the past but he is now not fit to get paid to play.

Romero is a weird one, he has been a back up most of his career and has about half as many international caps as he does club appearances. There has to be a reason for that.

If your view of him were accurate he would not have become the national keeper.
Certainly Pope is outperforming him now.
He makes far more than one outstanding save every so often in my opinion.
I think because of his mistakes there has grown a tendency to deconstruct every conceded goal and erroneously attribute it to error even when most other goalies would not have saved it, in simple terms it’s ‘pile on Pickford ‘time.
If there was a way of separating costly mistakes from unlikely saves I am certain he would emerge securely in credit.

I've got to disagree and as for pile on pickford time, myself and Davek amongst a few others have been criticising him almost from the day he joined us. He's not a good keeper and let me tell you I've seen a few from the great Gordon West right through to this clown and I believe he's the worst of all and I've seen a few bad ones along the way too.

Quite a shame for many fans now that they did not see the likes of Westie back then but they had Big Nev to cheer so evens out. Even Albert Dunlop did not mess up like Pickford.

The mistakes that Pickford has made this season haven't cost us anything.
In fact without him, we would've been down 2-0 to Spurs in the first half.

The lad does make frustrating mistakes, and also makes fantastic saves... and he's going nowhere. Not sure what the point of all the ire is to be honest, I've seen Allison make howlers as well but he's "tHe BeSt KePpeR In tHa WoRld" to the other lot.

Save the anger for mistakes that actually cost us something, no point in everyone getting wound up over two goals in a cup game that we've won.

Every goalkeeper makes mistakes, that unfortunately result in goals conceded. Most keepers however, have the ability to not let the mistake affect the rest of their game. Pickford does not have this attribute sadly. Great shot stopper, as at Spurs in the first half, but a fragile mentality mixed with an arrogant streak is always bubbling under the surface, waiting to strike. The pressure this puts on the rest of the team to outscore the opposition keeps building game on game. I have every confidence a manager with the pedigree of Ancelotti will not let this matter fester for long.

In hindsight the first goal could be a timely warning not to mess about too much, sometimes my heart is in my mouth when they’re doing that.

He reminds me a lot of Richard Wright in i get the same feeling with pickford as i did with wright that an error is on its way.
Nervous feeling with both.
