how can anyone not rate him? Objectively superior already to peak Howard, that makes Jordan our best keeper since Nev (if we discount Martyn's short time with us).

He's naive. Maybe he says stuff that he just doesn';t think about? He looks a bit loose cannonish, for sure. That comment comes across as arrogance though and it doesn't endear him to me for one...and I know there's others who dont like it.

He's a good keeper, not world class yet in my opinion, still has much to work on but he's already very, very good. Bare in mind keepers don't peak till they are 30odd then we have a hell of a keeper on our hands.

And of course the save changed the game, if we go one down with 30 mins to go we are right up against it.

That DeGea will be some keeper then when he is 30.

We celebrated the save with a huge roar ,like it was a goal . Of course it changed the game.

For me that interview showed he gets a little bit how we are as a club and particularly how the fans react , he even mentioned briefly how even a tackle can get us up and it can . How many times has a crunching tackle or a poor decision got goodison rocking ? It’s what we’re like and I love it when the grounds like that .

I suppose sometimes you have to be there to appreciate it , obviously Jordan is there and I suspect some of those that criticise him aren’t .

Love him because other teams hate him. He literally hacked off the big red propaganda machine over the summer in a way not many Everton players do. Must be doing something right. I doubt Liverpool fans were foaming at the mouth to decry the talents of Howard Robles or Stekelenburg.
