2018/19 Jordan Pickford

It is a touch concerning that against a newly promoted side (who couldn't score yesterday) and relegation fodder at home he has already conceded 3 goals in 2 games.

He just concedes such a volume of goals and that doesn't seem to be improving.

With 1 of those 3 you could say he should have done better on. But aye other than dead, dead concerning. Sake.

I was a decent standard goalkeeper (trials at professional clubs). I’d have done exactly the same as Pickford in that situation.

As it was in the Seventies I would have then stamped on Ings hands and told him it was because he had touched “that” club.

Very good shot stopper and above average at one on ones but not amazing in other areas.

I like what I saw of his attitude in commanding his defence at sunderland and at the start under Koeman but thats turned to look more like Harte style showboating and shouting for the cameras. IMO

Distributions not been great from what Ive seen of him...again just under Koeman and these two games.

I havent seen anything to tell me why some are saying he is great and the best since Martyn. Wasnt Howard a pretty decent keeper for us at first before declining in his last seasons?

Lets see how it turns out this season for him. It would be much preferable having a strong back up to keep him focused....but I guess with so many changes it was understandably seen as not a priority.

More arsed about the next 40 odd matches than being behind the dross he has been.

And thats knowing your stat is a little bit made up.

Strange one though - he conceded a lot at the World Cup too, and he was behind Maguire and Stones there.

He turned his back as he was second best to the ball, Pickford had cleared it and he didn't want the ball/Pickford to smash him in the face. His and Pickford's follow through meant there was contact.
How can Ings be following through whilst simultaneously avoiding contact?!
