Real football bravery is hiding Big Sam's chewing gum before the match.
Anyone can tackle granted to differing levels of effectiveness. However my point is relative to your ridiculous comment was that real football bravery is getting the ball off the opposition.
Its not it’s taking possession of the ball under pressure when your team mates don’t want the ball. I’d suggest you take a little time out to read up on pep’s thoughts on footbal bravery or do you prefer pulis and the gang
That's absolute nonsense of the highest order, he constantly shows for possession regardless of form...but Barkley doesn't to this often either. Thank god we have had some brave tacklers over the years, we would never have seen our great flair players show us their skills. Every great team has great tacklers, great ball winners. Barkley isn't a ball winner.
I don't wish to pile too much pressure onto the boy, but he's definitely going to be the face of Everton for the next 12-13 years, captain the team for a decade and also lead England to a minimum of two World Cup wins, culminating in around 40 billion pounds of earnings by the time he reaches 33.

Its not ridiculous its just a different opinion to you. That's what a forum is for...to discuss with respect for the opinion of others.I respect your opinion, please have the same attitude to others. And while you're entertaining us with the musings of the current Man City manager, remember he also said that whenever they lose the ball they fight like animals to get it back? 'Regain possession in 6 seconds...' wasn't that the mantra at Barca?
Re bravery...its essential almost if you want to be a top player...and I 'd suggest that having a few 'tough tacklers' and a brave goalkeeper are particular essentials in any aspirational successful team.
Incidentally...just seen a stat showing Everton as the 'dirtiest' team in the Prem this season. So some of them are doing something right!
At Bolton it was the 'tough tacklers' who created the space and time for players like Ococha to weave a little bit of magic.Even Alex Young appreciated that he wouldn't have been as effective if it wasn't for the tough, hard work of Dennis Stevens and the like.
