Not really a rum drinker myself, however whist on holiday in Dominican Republic I decided to indulge in the local tipple.

So I asked around a bit and found a good local bar with a fine selection of local rums and so began my education.

After sampling many a decent rum I settled on a Brugal 1888 gran reserve and my favourite was Cubaney 25 year old, which was like nectar.

Im deffo a convert to Rum now.

Welcome to the rum shack fella! Don't know either of those, the Brugal sounds up my street, looks like the Cubaney might be bit of a rare one on the bar.

Just polished off a Laphroaig Select...didn't have that lingering hit that the 10 year has but still a nice drop.

Just had a taste of this years damson gin, and, it's [Poor language removed]' gorgeous. If I could recommend a new year's resolution it it is make damson gin in copious quantities ; you won't regret it.
