Not good enough for Everton.. Not even a full international.. anichebe is better and thats saying something..

Everton probably make lots of enquiries for players , so this doesn't mean we're gonna bid for him . But i trust Moyes judgement on players , so if he thinks Russell can do a job for us i'm all for it.

johnny oh johnny russell....

Utd fan in peace, before i bang on about russell, hats off to your start to the season. up there with swansea playing the best football so far.

anyway, watched johnny progress through youth ranks at united for many years now. he spent alot of time as a youngster out on loan with goodwillie at raith rovers which, seeing him in his first season for united seemed to have helped his all round game. as i saw from the friendly we played against everton last month, there is a massive step up in fitness and i think johnny would be capable of stepping up. he has great strength for a wee guy, and is a total nightmare for big defenders if he runs at them. he's got some shot on him as well. never gives up and can run non stop for the 90mins. still got a long way to go though. plays for scotland under 21s in ever game and was given his first scotland call up last season. tactically he is great, works with jon daly our target man very well and links up with widemen. he's the total opposite from goodwille in my opinion. small, strong, lightening fast, can shoot from anywhere and has a great attitude. would be sad to see him go as this is only his second season in the united first team but would love him to eventually move to a club like everton. great manager and great fans. good luck guys.

You heard anything about the possibility of him moving to Everton from your side?

How much would he cost?

well only heard on sky sports earlier, but it was inevitable that the bids would start coming in from teams. rumours theres about 4 or 5 english teams watching. i know for certain that there were at least 6 EPL club's who had sent scouts to our european game to watch russell and mackay-steven. i think the fact that he has so much to offer and his game would continue to grow could see united looking for at least £2million and we will probably look for add-ons as well. we are about 4 million in debt and we really need to clear it out. but he's a great guy, lots of times for the fans, tries 100% and just loves playing football. also i'd say he's more of a striker than a midfielder.

edit - Everton, Huddersfield, Bolton, Blackburn & Crystal Palace all interested according to SSN
