Guidetti is a fantastic footballer and a legend in Rotterdam!
But...he sometimes reminds me of Drenthe and I don't mean because of the color of his skin ;-)

I'll never forget when he took off his shirt (he was celebrating his goal) when he already was booked.
He was send off and Feyenoord nearly lost the game.

Still hope he comes and plays his best game against the RS!

Tim.

Cahill got sent off for the same thing, wouldn't judge a player on it to be honest.

Complete non-story really, althuogh you can agree deals now and have it protected, i can't see us loaning without a perm fee involved. Even Count Stracquala had a fee involved.

Thank you tim, do you think he has what it takes to step up or would he likely be a reserve striker?

That's true about Reus. From what I've seen., he looks a very intelligent player and will cope. Barrios had an injury early in the season I think.

Talking of up and coming forwards: what do you think about that young City player on loan at Feyenoord, John Guidetti? Bit of a [Poor language removed] but finds the net and looks a real handful for defenders. Moyes could do worse than try and persuade City to let him go!

The bold bit coupled with the dutch lad saying that he reminds him of thickyricky is making my smoke alarm go off, if Mancini sends him out cos he thinks the same doesn't bode well, I mean, if he can put up with Mario but not this lad ?

That article could have been from the Daily Mail, i.e total BS. No quotes, article says "reportedly". According to who?

Jelavic went on strike to force a move to Rangers.

From what I've read in the media Gudetti said he would rather be loaned out than be City's 5th choice striker.

I'm from Sweden and I can say that this guy is truly no Drenthe. He is highly ambitious and wouldn't toss away his own career opportunities the Drenthe way. He is however very outspoken and comes across as arrogant (I don't see him as such). His style of play is industrious, powerful and fox in the box, clever player. Lacks some speed though. Would be a bargain, but probably not what we need the most.
