BBC reporting that he was due to be inducted into the Spuds hall of fame next week

Begs the question how in God's name Jimmy Greaves wasn't one of the first names on the list. Maybe a bit of politics but seems insane

Baffling. The guy is a legend and has been overlooked for whatever reason. Might be that he doesn't get on with the powers that be at the club

Pretty sure I read he feel out badly with the club when they sold him to West Ham without his knowledge, he's never been to White Hart Lane since or something because of the way he was treated.

Hope he's okay used to be part of my pre match routine as a kid, football for the school, home and changed then watch Saint & Greavsie waiting to be picked up.

Pretty sure I read he feel out badly with the club when they sold him to West Ham without his knowledge,

I think he has fallen out with a lot of people in his time. He was less than chuffed at not getting his place back after injury in the 1966 world cup. Refused to go to a lot of reunion dinners as well, although some of that was to avoid the booze which had become a bit of a problem apparently.

A real character is Greavsie. Good luck to him.....
