He's getting in dangerous positions which is more than 90% of what our players do. When he puts away one he will kick on.

Interesting mate seems I’m in the minority, I’d qualify my opinion by saying I’m thinking of him as a 20-30 mill pound footballer, rather then a lad showing signs of “something” breaking though. I’m very open minded on him and being wrong here and hope I am.

Leaning toward more of a Bernard, Billyetdinov- actually thought he needed to come of when he did as he looked goosed.

Just my take.

I thought he did OK. Linked up well with the other forwards and a decent out ball.

He adds pace which is useful and can carry the ball. The issue seems to be his fitness and adapting to the pace of the league. That's expected.

Really we shouldn't be expecting immediate impact from him, but some are because of the circumstance we find ourselves in.

Bernard got about 1 goal\assist a season.

Lindstrom will easily triple that.

He's a huge upgrade on Harrison, gets through as much work as Harrison and has that one thing we really lack. Pace.

Interesting the Gordon comparison, was one of his few supporters on here - I’m going* to stay on the fence about him, haven’t been as impressed it seems as the majority, if im missing something - no one will be happier then me,

Same not seen anything I wouldn’t expect, touches let him down quite a bit he’s got pace so will be dangerous but from first impressions he needs to add a lot more to his game other than pace. I think he will get goals and assists but will also waste the same chances and be frustrating hope I’m also wrong time will tell. If it means less game time for Harrison then I don’t mind that.

Bernard and Bilyetdinov, although lovely touch players and talented, didn't have either of the physical attributes needed for the EPL. Both lacked pace and strength. JL has a lot of pace and, unlike someone like Walcott, he seems to have intelligent movement. It's not blind luck that he is finding space in behind opposing teams so often. He obviously needs to improve the end product to be a top player but even if he never does just having someone who runs in behind a lot will create space for others and help us to play better football. I think there are enough signs that he could be a really good player to be encouraged. He isn't perfect yet which is why he plays for us.

I think he'll do well. Just need to give him time.

Spot on. He's missed some chances, but I do believe he will come good once he settles down and the rustiness is gone, and he's a step-up on others.

Massive difference to the front four that got picked week in week out and failed to produce every single week, to a front four of DCL, with McNeil, Lindstrom and Ndiaye behind him. That front four has huge potential to be very dangerous IF they stay fit, and IF the manager picks them and doesn’t revert to his default failed four.

Lindstrom seems one of those players who needs support from the manager, an arm around his shoulder and a run of games to find confidence. We can only hope the manager we have gives him that because there is a player there who has obvious quality. His form in Germany that led to a 30 million move shows what he can produce when he’s settled and confident.

Again, that front four has to be persevered with because it has the potential to keep us miles away from the danger zone and comfortable this season.

There are very few foreign players who arrive in the Premier League and hit the ground running, and that's true about players who have arrived on the back of stellar performances in La Liga, the Bundesliga, Ligue or the Eredivisie etc.....in JL's case he's hobbled in here after a very difficult season in Italy where it just didn't work out for him.
In our position he's the type of player we can attract and afford so we simply have to give him time to integrate. I've seen some real positives like his pace and ability to get in behind, and some negatives like his finishing and his final pass....but in truth he's surrounded by players who have exactly the same deficiencies. DCL has missed far easier chances than him this season and will continue to do so. If he contributes some assists, 3-4 goals and occupies defenders to give others space, plus allows us to break out from tight defensive situations with his running then I think thats what we need to value in our current state.

This , I’m by no means saying he’s a top prem player in the making but you can see that he can play football , his short passing and one twos and the ability to keep possession and actually operate in the opponents half means he is light years ahead of Harrison.

Him and N’Diya make a huge difference and when such changes them for his” trusted” DCL,ncail, Harrison and doucs combo… we instantly see the difference and cannot get out of our own half

…this is it for me. The bottom line is he offers threat.

He’s exploiting space behind the opposition back four and getting in positions to hurt the opposition. It’s a real disappointment he’s so far failed to take advantage of the situations he’s created but he’s increased our threat capability in wide areas, you rarely see Harrison or McNeil behind the opposition defence.

I've seen more threat in the final third from Lindstrom than what Harrison gives us, but the way Dyche thinks he's more concerned about what they give defensively, unfortunately.
